Post High School Plans: Once I graduate high school I will be attending Ashland University in Ohio! I will be pursuing nursing and would love to become an ER nurse once I graduate college. During my time attending Ashland University, I will be playing softball which has always been my dream!
Dream Job: My dream job is to become an ER nurse because it gives me an opportunity to help people and save lives.
Who was your favorite teacher or staff member during your time at SHS?: My favorite teacher during my time at Scituate High School would have to be Miss. Feldman. She is my art teacher and is my favorite because she is passionate about what she does and it shows when she teaches her students. She has always let me have the freedom to express my thoughts, ideas, and emotions in my art. Miss. Feldman is the reason I love art the way I do, and she has helped me to see my potential and creativity.
What was your most favorite class you took during your time at SHS?: My favorite class would probably have to be Psychology with Mr. Pepperd. I find the information about the human brain and how it affects our dreams and actions so fascinating. His class has taught me so much and I feel that I will be able to use this information when I am in nursing school and in general.
What advice would you give to next year’s ninth-grade students?: The advice I would give them is that working hard will pay off in the end and will make the year go by so much smoother. Don’t just ride it out and put in minimal effort, because as you get older and become an adult there are some key things you learn in high school that you may want to know for the real world. Doing well in HS and working hard during these years will prepare you for life outside of school and help you stay consistent.
What makes SHS special?: I feel that the teaching staff is what makes SHS as special as it is. The teachers here work hard every day to provide us with a quality learning experience and create a very positive atmosphere for their students. This positive environment makes it easy to want to learn and grow as a student.
